Laboratory Supervisor
Core purpose of job:
To manage and execute the laboratory, pilot plant and production trials in coordination with Product Development Managers and product Technologists and also to carry out pre-determined range of physico-chemical, microbial and organoleptic test required to monitor quality parameters from raw materials through to finished product.
Areas of responsibilities:
1- Proper and timely implementation of laboratory scale, pilot plant and production trials.
2- Accountable for physico-chemical and microbiological analyses of samples from laboratory scale, pilot plant and production trial, and market audit samples.
3- Proper implementation of shelf life schedules and storage parameters.
4- Maintenance of proper operating conditions of all laboratory and pilot plant equipment.
5- Maintenance of excellent housekeeping conditions on all TRD working and storage areas.
6- Ensure laboratory analytical tests are performed according to standard procedure and results are accurate and properly documented.
7- Good work relationship with broad spectrum of factory personnel.
8- Ensure maintenance of occupational health and safety requirements within the TRD working locations.
Qualifications:
Minimum graduate, diploma or equal qualifications in Food Science/Technology.
Essential:
2-3 years experience working in a dairy/food industry preferably working in quality control and product development as a technician or a junior supervisor.
